Lady Mitzi Mittlestead
Bio
Mary Lynn Benham Mittlestead, is better known as Mitzi. She was born and raised in Dayton. After high school she went to what now is known as Ashland University. She met Bob there and were married the year she graduated. They returned to Dayton and she worked in the family catering business before landing a teaching position at Mad River Schools. Then she started an embroidery business in their home, giving her the opportunity to work and stay home with their three boys.
Her adult life has been filled with many volunteer opportunities relating to Shrine and her children’s’ activities. She can cause trouble just about anywhere. Bob has been a member of the Motor Corps, Indy Cars, and Potentate’s Aides. She tags along. They are now kept busy with the Divan, their grandchildren (their children find they don’t stay home enough to babysit), and their family. Oh, she also loves to travel in their RV and to dance! They are pleased that all three of their sons are in the Shrine, and they have wonderful families.
Life cannot get much better, great friends (a lot of them through Shrine), a busy life, pretty good health, and a great family. They are enjoying their time on the Divan.

2023 Message
Elissa, again, wants to thank everyone who bought tickets for our December wreath raffle. We earned over $1000 for the Shrine Hospitals. Congratulations to Tammy Baughman for winning the raffle! What a wonderful January meeting! Bethany Deines from Shriners Children’s Ohio gave us an update on the hospital and shared some things that Elissa could do for the hospital. Elissa member’s collected colored chalk and stickers at this first meeting and presented them to Bethany. Each month Elissa will collect something that is on the hospital’s wish list. We will be busy celebrating Valentine’s Day at our February meeting. Elissa welcomes all ladies to become a member and have fun with us. For more information, contact Signe Yelland, at slyelland@gmail.com.

Ladies Oriental Shrine Of North America (Also Known As LOSNA)
Potential Organization at Antioch
Message
The Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America (also known as LOSNA) members are bound by their goal to promote sociability, good fellowship and the betterment of all ladies connected with the organization. The Ladies actively support Shriners Hospitals for Children® through a variety of fundraising activities, as well as by providing handmade quilts and surgery gowns, toys, games and books for patients.
Ladies also participate in several Shrine events and may join special units with their Court, or chapter, including bands, patrols, clowns or dance units.
Like the Shriners, the LOSNA members wear a fez. The LOSNA members fez is white with a red tassel and is worn for special events and ceremonies.
Founded in West Virginia in 1903, LOSNA has more than 16,000 members across the United States and donates more than $500,000 to Shriners Hospitals for Children each year.
